Men of Science, Men of God
it’s interesting that many men of
science were also men of God.
Here's a short list:
Rene Descartes
Sir Isaac Newton
Michael Faraday
Gregor Mendel
Johannes Kepler
. . . Even Albert Einstein
And look at all of their accomplishments combined! It’s amazing what things people can do when they have discipline and guidance in their lives. I believe this is now the problem with our society, that the mainstream culture rejects God, and plays on the "Separation of Church and State" clause of the First Amendment to assert their beliefs whilst firmly repressing those of others. For example, in some states atheists have asserted that a bill should be passed to omit the portion of our nation's pledge of allegiance, because it says "one nation under God." However, our nation's motto is and has been for a long time, "In God We Trust." The fail to realize that the state (nation) simply cannot mandate a state (national) religion. It does not, however, disallow a Pledge of Allegiance to be recited, does not disallow a national motto to be adopted, and does not disallow those who govern our country to form beliefs, speak on those beliefs, etc.
Furthermore, our nation was built on Judeo-Christian beliefs which allowed us to rise to the top among nations for the fact that it gave people a sense of hope, guidance, moral values to live by, and of course discipline. That is the mere philosophical value of the Bible and core-principles of Christianity regardless of whether or not you believe God exists. Now, our country has completely reversed course and especially so with naive, bigoted, narcissistic presidents like the one squatting on the White House grounds right now. People are dismantling foundations that were laid in this country 238 years ago, technically long before that if you think of the pilgrims, and for what? Just throw it all down the drain? People in this country are ridiculously foolish. Perhaps it’s the education system which fails to teach our true history, one based upon values and events rather than only the events that happened. It does no good to speak of the fact our country waged war for its independence if you fail to herald the fact it was for religious and economic oppression solely perpetrated by the tyrannous King George III of Great Britain and his cabinet. They don't even speak of the fact that George Washington was highly religious and that all the land within our country, all the luck he had in battle, and furthermore the sheer luck our country had the chance to be its own, he credits all to the Lord's "providence," as he wrote in his journals. Our country most definitely was not founded by a bunch of blathering, heathenish atheists who whine and run amok ranting about over their every failure. On the contrary, our country was founded by real men.
